Normal life in Salyan has been affected due to the continuous series of bandh organized by the protesters. The bandhs has brought transportation services to a complete halt so much that vehicles have not been able to operate even at night. Similarly market places, offices and factories remain closed due to the bandh. On thursday morning at 3:00am protesters vandalized two motorcycles bearing numberplate Ra 2 Pa 2721 and Ra 2 Pa 4103 near Shantinagar in Shrinagar. The protesters have been demanding undivided Rapti and the placement of Salyan in State number 5.
