Two girls were critically injured due to  thrashing of a burglar in Kawasoti-3 Nawalparasi. The burglar who broke into the rented room of Reshma Karki and her sister Rupa Karki at Kawasoti-3 in the district beat them black and blue after stealing their gold ornaments and some cash, police said. The injured siblings are receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur. Police have stepped up surveillance in the district with the increasing number of burglary cases reported in the Area Police Office, Nawalpur.
