Cadres of Madesi Morcha have attacked APF base camp of Lumbini on Saturday. On the day protester blocked the way of DSP Mahendra Khadka of NP and Bharat Koirala of APF Lumbini by placing a vehicle on the street. According to the DSP Koirala, a team of APF got attacked all of a sudden by protestors throwing stones, when the team tried to remove the barrier on the road. Protesters then went to South part of Lumbini development trust gate no. 6 and tried to force entry into the APF base camp by throwing stones and bottles. To control the situation APF fired a few rounds of tear gas and resorted to firing in the air. CDO Krishna Prasad Dhakal claimed that Rupandehi continued to be tense on Saturday as protesters had not yet received information about an agreement between the agitating parties and the district administration to carry out protests peacefully.
