Muslim community organized demonstration on Sunday demanding their rights to be addressed in the new constitution. After the rally, National Muslim Struggle Coalition submitted memorandum consisting of 12-points to the CDO of Siraha, Man Bahadur Bishwakarma. In the memorandum, it is mentioned that separate identity should be ensured for Muslim Community in the constitution just like, Indigenous communities, Madhesi, Dalit and women. It is demanded that Muslim should have right to receive and provide high level religious education based on their faith, secularism should be stated in the preamble and be institutionalized since it is a major achievement of historic People's Movement. Policy for proportional and inclusive representation should be implemented, and proportional representation in the state policy level and Muslim family law should be ensured.
