Cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front vandalized statue of B.P. Koirala in Gaur Municipality. A rally was taken out from District Court Chowk with demonstrators carrying lathis and when they reached B.P. Chowk, the outraged demonstrators destroyed B.P.'s statue. Four rounds of tear gas were fired after the protestors started throwing bricks and stones at Government Offices of the district. According to the police, tear gas had to be fired to control the situation after the demonstrators vandalized government offices. Districts of the Terai had been shut down since last 11 days by United Democratic Madhesi Front demanding Hilly districts to be included in the state no. 2.
