Update......... Police arrested another man in connection to the murder of Nepali Congress district leader Ramji Paudel, on Thursday. Rabin KC, President of the Nepal Students Union (NSU) Pokhara University chapter, was arrested after Paudel’s kin filed an FIR against him. KC, who was produced before the District Court for the trial on the same day, was remanded to custody by the Court. Paul's body was found in Gagangaunda in Lekhnath Municipality, along the Prithvi Highway on 13 August 2015. Three other suspects are still on the run. An extensive search for the absconding suspects is going on, police said.
Police have arrested two more people on the charge of involvement in the murder of Nepali Congress leader Ramji Poudel. Those arrested are Biswas Gautam of Lekhnath municipality-12 and Prakash Gurung of Lekhnath-13. Gautam was arrested from Dehradun of India and Gurung from Pokhara, according to District Police Office Kaski. Police are still looking for Rabin KC, another accused in the crime. Prior to this, police have already arrested NC Lekhnath town committee Chair Rajendra Mani Lamichhane and Tarun Dal member Raju Ranabhat. Investigation over the incident is still underway. Those arrested are to be made public through a press conference today, according to the Office. A resident of Gagangaunda in Lekhnath municipality, NC leader Poudel was found murdered on August 13.
