Crime Branch of Metropolitan Police Circle in Kathmandu have arrested an Indian national on the charge of murdering his own friend in Tushal. Ranjit Sharma, a carpenter at BM furniture in Tushal was arrested by the police today on the charge of murdering Muntu Sharma, the son of the furniture owner. Police investigation revealed that Ranjit Sharma killed Muntu Sharma following a dispute with him over the former's girlfriend. Ranjit had grown suspicious after he saw his girlfriend walking with Muntu. Muntu had also reportedly requested Ranjit to leave his girlfriend or kill him which led to a dispute with him. Following the dispute, Ranjit killed Muntu by stabbing him on the throat with a sharp instrument while he was sleeping in the room. Ranjit is being held in metropolitan police Boudha for further investigation.
