Cadres of Madhesi morcha have torched a private vehicle parked in the premises of Bara district hospital at Kalaiya on Thursday afternoon. The vehicle bearing number plate Sa 1 Cha 879 belonged to the medical superintendent of the hospital Dr. Shailendra Kumar Jha. Cadres of the morcha torched Jha's vehicle by sprinkling petrol at around 4:00 pm on Thursday. The vehicle has been completely destroyed due to the fire. Accusing the doctor Jha of making false postmortem report on the death of Hifazat Miya who was killed after being shot in the chest during the demonstration, the cadres led by Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) district member Arun Kumar Singh torched his private vehicle. The postmortem reported that Miya was shot from behind. Around 40 to 50 cadres of the morcha who proceeded from Bharat chowk in Kalaiya on Thursday afternoon first entered the office of medical superintendent Jha and insulted and manhandled him accusing him of making false postmortem report. According to eyewitnesses, the morcha cadres vandalized Jha's vehicle before torching it near Maternity service centre. By the time police arrived perpetrators had already fled the scene.
