Bhajan Chaudhary, program coordinator and senior officer at INSEC MidWest-regional Office Nepalgunj has died in an accident on May 29.
Chaudhary, 42, died instantly after a microbus (Bhe 1 Kha 1127), heading towards Kohalpur from Nepalgunj customs, hit him near Ganeshman Chok at around 5.30 am while he was returning home from morning walk. Dedicated and soft spoken, Chaudhary had been working at INSEC for the last 16 years.
Police informed that the driver of the microbus has been arrested. Regional coordinator of INSEC Nepalgunj Bhola Mahat said that final rites of Chaudhary would be performed today following his post-mortem at the Bheri Zonal Hospital.
Chaudhary had made a significant contribution in INSEC's campaign for eradication of Kamaiya tradition.
