Govt Vehicles Prevented to Ply

Agitating student and youth wings of various political parties have prevented government vehicles ply in the streets in the district on June 3.

 

Students and youth wings affiliated to Nepali Congress and UML restricted the operation of government vehicles as per their phase-wise programs of protest today. They have been staging various programs of protest demanding resignation of Prime Minister, Dr Baburam Bhattarai in the district.

 

The movement of the government vehicles was restricted in the district since the morning today, Rajendra Dotel, district vice chairperson of Nepal Student Union, said.

 

Three government vehicles were seized in Bharatpur and one in Tandi as they were plied defying the call for the restriction, however, keys of the vehicles were returned to the drivers of the respective vehicles after 5 pm today, said Niraj Bhatta, district chairperson of ANNFSU.
