District Police Office Kailali (DPO) on Thursday confiscated three illegally hidden weapons from on ex-Maoist combatant Ramprakash Dagaura Tharu, who was taken into custody. Police arrested Tharu on the tip-off and contained the weapons and kept hidden inside a plastic sack near his house, said regional investigation bureau Seti zone and DPO. Ramesh Prakash Dagaura Tharu was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by his relative Ramesh Chaudhari in the District Police Office, Kailali for physically assaulting him for not giving him the tractor to attend the Tharuhat rally on September 7.Tharu was made public by police through a press meet today afternoon. It was learned that Tharu was a master in threatening locals by using the weapons. He will face the charges under public offense and possessing illegal weapons, said police.
