Training on HR Monitoring, Documentation Kicks off

A-three-day training on Human Rights Monitoring and Documentation has kicked off in Pokhara on June 5.

 

The training supported by The Asia Foundation and organized by Pokhara based INSEC western regional office has been attended by INSEC documentation officers and district representatives (DRs) of western region and mid region.

 

INSEC DRs from Tanahun, Gorkha, Manang, Syangja, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Myagdi of western region and those from Parsa, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Dhading, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk and Dolakha are attending the training.

 

Speaking at inaugural of the event, Shiva Khakurel, INSEC western regional coordinator stressed the need for monitoring and documenting the incidents of HR violation effectively and reliably.

 

Ganesh Bhandari, Prashannata Wasti and Govinda Tripathi of INSEC central office and Ganesh Shrestha of the western regional office had facilitated the training sessions today.

DRs from 21 districts have also briefed about the overall HR situation of their respective districts on the occasion.
