Police allegedly arrested two people who tried to sacrifice a woman in the name “black magic”. Shaman Tanu Pahari and Omkar Saha of Nalang-4 in Dhading district were held as per the complaint filed by Poonam Saha of Nalang-4 at the District Police Office. Police said Pahari is an Indian national whereas Omkar is a cousin brother of Poonam. The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested the duo and has started investigation into the matter. The victim said the duo held her hostage to sacrifice her and was forced to worship in the name of “faith healing” continuously for 18 days starting August 16. They had hired a room at Nagarjun and forced Poonam to worship human skull. It is believed that the person who keeps the worshipped bone with him/her will obtain black magic. The culprits also have taken Poonam’s brother under control during the period.
