Cadres of SLMM have assaulted Birgunj bereau chief of avenues television Raju Shrestha and camera person Jiyalal Sah on friday evening. The two were assaulted by some morcha cadres while they were live broadcasting the protest in Adarsha chowk at around 7:30pm. According to Shrestha, a group of men who had come from the villages, suddenly attacked them while they were taking commoners feedback on the protest programs. Shrestha and his colleague ran and hid inside a shutter to protect themselves from the attackers. They were later rescued by policemen, who dispersed the morcha cadres by charging laathi.
