Gorkha/June 10 UCPN-M Cadres have beaten up constable of Armed Police Force Shiva Pariyar at Bus park in GorkhaN.P.3 on June 10. Pariya, 29, of Gaikhur9 was beaten while he was returning from his in-laws house at Nareshwor VDC to APF battalion at Baglung.

According to Pariyar, he was beaten when he tried to stop the vehicle carrying UCPN-M cadres who were heading towards Masel VDC for a corner meet. He has joined office after getting treatment at Gorkha Hospital for eye injuries.

Police had recovered 39 sets of iron rods from the bus. Police said that about 50 UCPN-M cadres were on board led by former CA member Amar Tamu and member of Tamuwan State Committee Lekh Bahadur Thapa.

Meanwhile, Federation of Nepali Journalists district chapter has condemned the threat issued to journalists during the corner meet organized at Harmatari in GorkhaN.P.3 on June 10. Former UCPN-M Battalion commander Bishwas Dhakal has issued threat to journalists while Lekh Bahadur Thapa had accused journalists of writing anything for the sake of money and siding against federalism.
