A person was killed in a shoot-out between security personnel and members of an organized crime group in Santhakra of Taplejung district on Tuesday evening. Two security personnel were injured in the incident. The deceased has been identified as a member of the gang led by Dauman Limbu aka Harahang. Police found a citizenship card issued in the name of Sagar Limbu from his body. Police said four to five persons had opened fire at the team of police that reached Santhakra-6 at around 5 pm today. Police said they have seized homemade bombs, combat dress, explosives, fuse wire, battery, bag, and Rs 14,000 from the site.
