A group led by the operator of Jay Bhadrakali Oil Stores in Ranikuwa Mulpani of Beshishar has tried to assault journalist Yubaraj Shrestha on the evening of November 16. The group tried to attack Shrestha, who is secretary of Lamjung chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalist and News Chief of Radio Marshyangdi, over a news piece on black marketing of petroleum products. Shrestha saved himself by locking himself inside his room. The assailants smashed the window of his rented room in Beshishahar Municipality-9. Ghimire called youths and attacked his room even when journalist Shrestha told him over the phone that he would discuss the matter with him the next day. Police were immediately informed after the group attacked the window and door of Shrestha's room. The assailants ran away after police arrived at the scene.
