The agitating Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha cadres have set fire on eight trucks and two motorcycles that were parked at National Cement Factory in Katahari-8, Biratnagar on Friday morning. The protesters also vandalised two city-rickshaw and eight motorcycles at Mahabir chowk here. They have also obstructed vehicles of media persons. Meanwhile, a clash occurred between the police and protesters after the former baton-charged the unruly protesters as acts of vandalism escalated. Meanwhile, shops have remained closed in the area.
