37 child workers rescued from Nepalgunj

37 children who were working in a hazardous work environment at various places in Nepalgunj have been rescued on Tuesday. They were working in different hotels, textile and auto-mechanicals. Aiming to make Banke a child labour free district, the Child Welfare Committee raided various places and rescued the children. Bindu Kunwar of Women and Children's office said that they would continue to rescue children working in a dangerous working environment in future too. The rescued children, almost all of whose family have very weak economic condition would be sent to the families that can provide them with education, proper food and good family environment. According to statistics, there are around 4,000 child-workers in Nepalgunj.
