Kanchanpur man arrested on the charges of trafficking a teen

37-year-old Ram Bahadur Khadka, a resident of Guptipur in Manau-1 VDC has been arrested by the police on Tuesday on the charges of trafficking a 14-year-old girl to India.
Saying that he would find her a good job, Ram Bahadur took the teen to Rishikesh in India and sold her. The girl was then held captive in a room from which she escaped and reported to the Indian police. She was later rescued by Maiti Nepal with the help of the Indian police. Currently, she is under the care of Maiti Nepal Kanchanpur.
Meanwhile, Kanchanpur District Police is further investigating into the incident by taking Ram Bahadur into custody.
