Sahara Begam, 8, of MalangawaN.P.5 has been beaten up by Pabitri Devi Mahato, 36, of same place for touching a public water tap on July 25. Pabitri beat her and threw her water container.      

Police had reached the site following a verbal complaint by the girl's father Bakhtiyar Ali.

An understanding was reached between the two sides after Pabitri and her husband apologized and promised not to repeat such incident.

The victim's father is executive editor of local Loktantra Daily.
