Ram sing Saud, 35, of Sigas-4, arrested by police on charge of raping a 17-year-old girl of the same2, has been kept in police custody.

He was arrested after the victim filed an FIR against him on July 22 which informed that the incident occurred near her home. Temporary police post team arrested Saud on same day of the registration of the FIR.

Police said that the accused was placed in custody for investigation. The girl’s medical checkup was conducted at District Hospital Baitadi on July 22, District Police Office informed.
