Chairperson of Bhaktapur chapter of Human Rights and Peace Society, Sujan Paudel, 30, of Pokhara Sub-Metropolis-16 has been murdered by unidentified gang on July 30.

Paudel, also principal of Niyolojan School located at Kamalbinayal of BhaktapurN.P.4 was stabbed to death along with Bidhya Laxmi Shakhakarmi, 20, a staffer of the school hailing from Mahalaxmisthan of BhaktapurN.P.5 at Tathali8 in the night on July 30.

Both of them were stabbed to death with sharp weapons, police said.

Paudel's motorbike plated Ba 25 Pa 518 was recovered from nearby the incident site.

Post mortem of the dead body was conducted at TU Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj on July 31, however, the family of the deceased has not collected the body yet.

Family of the deceased, locals, parents and school teachers gathered at Metropolitan Police Range in Bhaktapur demanding to nab the accused today.

Saying that some persons have been arrested in connection with the incident, police informed that investigation of the incident is underway.
