Journalist Om Prakash Thakur, 36, of Pipariya VDC-2 and Bishwanath Thakur, 29, of Malangawa Municipality-10 has been mistreated by policemen as they were taking photographs of the clash between the protestors and police at Malangawa on December 21. Journalist Om is affiliated with Kantipur Television while Biswanath is associated with Madhes Post. According to the victims, police hurled abuses at them and threatened to break their camera when they tried to take the photos of the clash. Om Prakash said that the police mistreatment caused obstruction in news collection and he felt insecure because of the police behaviour.
