A clash ensued between the cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) and security personnel around Gopal Dharmashala in Janakpur on Sunday noon. The Police lobbed ten rounds of teargas shells to disperse the agitated mob. The Police have detained a protester. Meanwhile, a protester also captured Police personnel and beat him. The protesters fled after the Police lobbed the teargas shells. Morcha protesters had protested against the arrival of CPN-Maoist leader Dev Gurung in Janakpur. Gurung was scheduled to reach Janakpur on Sunday. Meanwhile, Sanghiya Samajbadi coalition has organised a buffalo rally in Janakpur on Sunday. The coalition described buffalo as a symbol of government. They also submitted a 9-point demand to the buffalo.
