Area Police Office (APO) Baniyabhar has arrested a man on August 10 on charge of raping his daughter. The man, a resident of Khurkhure Phanta in Baniyabhar-7, has been accused of raping his 9-year-old daughter on August 9 night.

Police said that locals had handed him over to police after apprehending him from the incident site as he was raping his daughter. The victim has said that her father had repeatedly raped her before too.

APO Baniyabhar said that a rape case has been filed against him on August 10. Inspector Khadak Bahadur Bhandari said that he would be charged under incest rape and child rape act.

Mother of the victim is overseas for employment.
