Punita Devi Das, 24, of Bengashivapur8 has been undergoing treatment at Sita Nursing Home in Janakpur after she was seriously injured by her husband Bijay Das, 25. Punita had sustained serious head injuries after her husband attacked her with khukuri and sickle at home on August 9.

According to the victim, she was saved and taken to hospital by locals. She has urged human rights activist to help her get justice. She has filed a case at the District Police Office on August 12 seeking action against those involved in the incident.

Police said that the accused was at large. <
