Locals carrying goods from India clash with sit-in demonstrators in Birgunj

Demonstrators of a sit-in at Birgunj border checkpoint has clashed with locals ferrying goods from India on Wednesday night. The clash ensued after around 5 to 7 men smuggling goods from India were stopped by the demonstrators present at the sit-in. A total of 8 people, 3 from demonstrators and 5 from the smuggler's side were reportedly injured during the incident, according to the police.
