A couple has been shot dead by an unidentified group on August 13 night.

Shesh Jafar, 46, and his wife Shahanaz Begam, 40, of Akolwa8 were shot by an unidentified group of around 20 men. According to the police, Jafar was shot in temple and while Begam was shot in neck.

The deceased have ten children.

The District Police Office (DPO) said that two locals–  Shesh Sakina Khatun and Sakina Khatun were injured while retaliating the armed group. They have been sent to Birjung for  treatment.

Police arrested victim's brother Shesh Mobarak and his brother in-law Shesh Diner on suspicion of their involvement in the incident. Police said that preliminary investigation has showed that Both brothers were involved in a land dispute and the couple might have been killed by hiring Indian criminals.
