Police have arrested Sukman Yonjan, 34, of Paurai6 on charge of raping a 13-year-old girl of same place. He has been sent to judicial custody by the district court on August 25.

Inspector Shek Adalat said that mother of the girl filed a complaint against Sukman at the Area Police Office Chandranigahpur on August 25 stating that he raped her at a jungle in the same VDC on August 23 after luring her with a packet of noodle.

He further said a medical check-up done by Dr. Shankar Lohala of Chandranigahpur Hospital on August 24 following victim's complaint confirmed that she was raped. "Legal action has been initiated against him," he said.
