Principal of Saraswati Secondary School Dipak Kumar Singh, of Mahadewa7 has been arrested on August 25 on charge of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl of same place.

The accused was arrested by police post Mahadewa and handed over to the area police office (APO) Sijuwa. The victim had filed a complaint against him at the APO Sijuwa on August 24. She stated in her complaint that the accused called her at his home after the supplementary exams of SLC got over and sexually abused her after luring her.

Inspector Gopal Dhamal of the APO Sijuwa said that the accused was handed over the district police office. The case was registered late at the APO Sijuwa as the accused side pressured the victims to come to an agreement which was protested by locals. <
