Abducted 8 yer old minor found dead in Mahottari

Update -------- Police arrested five persons on the charge of abduction and subsequent murder of a child. Pappu Yadav, Shivam Chaudhary, Govinda Mishra, Saroj Pandey and Sanjiv Mishra of Jaleshwor were held in connection with the abduction and murder of 11-year-old Nishchal Kumar Pandey of Jaleshwor-12, said police. He was kidnapped on January 10 and found buried on the bank of the Rato stream a few days later. The abductors had demanded Rs3 million for his release. Meanwhile, three other suspects were nabbed for their alleged involvement in the abduction and murder of the eight-year-old boy. Man arrested for abduction attempt Police has arrested a man on an attempted abduction charge. Bijaya Pasawan of Lahan Municipality-8 was held as he attempted to abduct Dr Pashupati Chaudhary on Saturday, said police. “The suspect attempted to abduct Chaudhary as he refused to provide a forceful donation,” Superintendent of Police Shyamraj Gyawali said. Paswan had tried to abduct Dr Chaudhary in front of Saptarishi Hospital. They fled upon seeing police. Pawan is a repeat offender who had previously served a jail term for three and a half years for possessing illegal arms and robbery.

-----------------------------An eight-year-old minor, who was abducted on Sunday evening, has been found dead here in the district on Monday. According to police, the body of Chiranjibi Mahaseth, 8, son of Rabindra Mahaseth of Bhatauliya-2 found buried at Ekdanda of the district. Rabindra, the father of the deceased, has accused a group of youths of carrying out the act as he had a minor squabble with them previously on the issue of collecting donation for organizing a local Jhanda Mela (festival). Mahaseth was the Chairman of the organizing committee of the Jhanda Mela. Police have arrested two people in connection with the crime. One of the arrestees has been identified as Anish Sah, according to SP Janak Bhattarai, the district police chief. According to SP Bhattarai, four people perpetrated the crime in line with the direction of Sah. The proposed Jhanda Mela was scheduled to be held in Mahottari on January 19.
