Bomb explosion at health worker's home in Saptari

An unidentified group has exploded a pipe bomb in the house of Upendra Parsad Sahi, of Kanchapur Municipality-1, Assistant Health Officer of Ghojanpur Health Office on January 17. A 13 cm long and 16 cm round GI pipe and iron beams have been recovered from the incident site informed Area Police Office KanchapurAccording to Inspector, Megh Raj Adhikari, a bomb was detonated in the garden in front of Sah’s house. Sah’s family and neighbors are terrified by the incident, although there were no human and physical casualties. The bomb went off after some time when a person name Bhagat with an Indian registered telephone number called Sah and demanded Rs. Ten million. The group also threatened to kill his family members if their demands is unmet, said Sah. The search for the people involved in the incident is ongoing, informed Area Police Office, Kanchapur Mohan Kumar Pokharel.
