The District Court on February 1 has slapped 12-year jail sentence to 51-year-old Jagat Bahadur Limbu Dhankuta Municipality-5 for raping a girl. The court sentenced Limbu for 12-year jail term on the charge of raping a girl. The victim’s mother lodged a complaint at District Police Office on July 8 against Limbu on the charge of raping her daughter time and time. The accused was arrested by police on the same day after the complaint was lodged and case on the charge of rape was registered by police in the District Court. The District Court ordered to remand him in custody on July 31.
