Police arrested Krishna Thapa, a teacher on the charges of beating 17-year-old  Santosh Pandey, a Ninth Grade student of Tamghas Resunga Secondary School. The teacher had beaten up Santosh for not completing his assignment on January 30, informed Sailendra Bhatta, Inspector of District Police Office, Gumli. The victim eardrum perforated from the beating and is undergoing treatment at Bhairaba Medical College, said Shiva Lal Pandey, victim’s father. The victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment and the teacher was handed over to the police, informed Buddhi Dhar Thapa, President of the Teacher Parents Association.
