Man lynched for stealing chicken

A man was killed in Purtimkada VDC-4, in Rukum district on Monday for stealing a chicken. District police office said a group of villagers beat Bir Bahadur Nepali of Purtimkada to death, accusing him of stealing chicken from the house of local Amrita BK. Bir Bahadur's body was discovered around 50 metres from his house. Six persons have been taken into custody for investigation.
