Students affiliated to All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary today staged a sit-in protest in front of the Nepal Oil Corporation demanding smooth supply of petroleum products and action against black-marketeers. They also criticised Minister for Supply Ganesh Man Pun for failing to ease the supply of essential commodities and institutionalising black-marketing.
Students aligned to Unified CPN-Maoist led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN-Maoist led by Mohan Baidhya and CPN (Maoist) led by Biplab had gathered at Maitighar to staged demonstrations. ANNISU-R cadres shouted slogans against the supply minister and top-ranking NOC officials and staged an hour-long sit-in in front of the NOC. Addressing the mass, Ramesh Malla, president of the ANNISU-R aligned to Unified CPN-Maoist warned of taking action against people involved in black-marketing. “We are not going to spare anybody who is supporting black-marketing of petroleum products,” he said.
