Expelled Khambuwan Morcha Cadres Extort Donation

The expelled cadres of Khambuwan Rastriya Morcha have started collecting 'donation' from teachers of northern VDCs. A group of expelled cadres of Morcha including its central member Bishwas Sampang Khambu extorted money from teachers working in schools of .

 

A teacher, on condition of anonymity, said that the group wielding arms extorted 2,000 rupees, 2,100 rupees and 2,700 rupees from primary level, pre-secondary level and secondary level teachers respectively.

 

They are also collecting 100 rupees from the sweepers using the receipt of Morcha in the name of running the party and their activities.

 

The teachers said that the group warned similar actions to those teachers refusing to give money.

Central Secretary of Morcha Bhupi Koyi said that they had urged the local administration to control the extortion drive.

 

Chief District Officer Dipak Raj Nepal said that he had directed the police administration to adopt alertness regarding the incident.

 

Central Committee of Morcha had expelled Bishwas two weeks ago after he was found involved in extorting money, according to the group.
