Robbers killed a man in Rolpa

A 33-year-old man died in an attack of looters at Uwa-6 in Rolpa on Friday morning. Barshe Ghartimagar, who returned home from a foreign job two weeks ago, was killed by a group of six robbers who assaulted him with sharp weapons. According to police, the victim sustained serious injuries as he attempted to retaliate against them. The looters barged into Ghartimagar’s house at around 1 am and assaulted him with sharp weapons. The critically injured victim breathed his last on the way to a health facility at around 5 am. He had sustained deep injuries in the head and chin. The villagers knew about the incident after the assailants had left the scene. They rescued and rushed him to the nearby health post. The assailants also looted Rs200,000 cash and three tola gold from him. Investigating officers suspected the looters attacked Ghartimagar to whisk away the cash and valuables that he had brought from Qatar. A team led by Inspector Keshav Bahadur Basnet was dispatched to the incident site for investigation.
