A man and his elderly mother were murdered at late night on Tuesday, Feburary 23 at Thawang-9. The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Basant Pun and his 60-year-old mother Jamansari Pun. According to the police they were murdered by Basant's wife Tila Kumari Pun. Basant's father Aash Bahadur Pun also sustained serious injuries due to Tila Kumari's attack. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident by arresting Tila Kumar. Police suspect that the arrested woman murdered her husband and mother-in-law over a family dispute. Rolpa police have also sent a team of police from Area Police Office Ghartigau to find out further details of the incident.
