The studies in Shree Secondary School in Mahadeva4 have remained suspended since September 3 following a dispute over formation of school management committee.

The guardians had a scuffle after local cadre of MJF (Democratic) verbally abused school Principal Deepak Kumar Singh on September 2. The incident left 17 students and guardians injured. The studies were hampered after the children did not attend the classes fearing more of such events. According to Vice-principal Ashok Kumar Singh, only 56 out of 607 students were coming to the school.

The school management committee has been formed for the last two years. Local guardian Litlal Tajpuriya said that it was because the parties could not agree on the sharing of the posts.

Sijuwa Area Police Office has charged 12 including Rajbanshi with public offense. All the accused remain absconding, DSP Uma Prasad Chaturbedi informed.
