Youth shot in Jumla

An unidentified group has shot 24-year-old Jaisikey Bohara, a resident of Dipu village, Malikathata-4 on Thursday morning. Bohara who was seriously injured due to the shooting is receiving treatment at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences in Jumla. The victim's relatives reported that he was shot while taking his uncle, Ratan Bohora's sheep for grazing at 10 am on Thursday. The victim was shot twice on his left leg. Dr. Madhu Chaudhary, a doctor involved in the victim's treatment said that of the two bullets fired, one pierced through the victim's thigh while another is still lodged in the victim's body. He added that X-rays would need to be done to confirm this. Jaisikey had gone to his uncle's house at Malikathata-9 on Wednesday. According to the victim, he was shot twice by two men wearing masks. After the incident, he had fallen unconscious for 2 hours. He was later rescued by his uncle who he called after gaining consciousness. By that time the attackers had already fled the scene. DSP Bishnuhari Koirala of Jumla Police Office, informed that police are further investigating into the incident.
