An unidentified group murdered a former Maoist combatant on Friday. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kedar Khanal said that Bishnu Bhatta (50) of Bedkot Municipality-1 in Kanchanpur district was murdered yesterday night and the body was placed on the East-West Highway. “Bruises are visible in different parts of Bhatta’s body. It seems that the body was thrown on the road after murdering him to show that he was killed in the road accident,” DSP Khanal said. Superintendent of Police (SP) Tulasi Prasad Adhikari of the District Police Office said that they are looking into the case.
