Police have arrested one Suman Rai, 19, of Ramauli in Manhari-2 on charge of raping a 12-year-old girl.

Rai is accused of raping the girl in a jungle near the village on October 1 afternoon as she had gone to graze goats alluring her with Rs 20.

Her family filed an FIR against Rai at Manhari Area Police Office on October 2 demanding legal action against her.

Rai was arrested after the FIR was filed by the family.
