A youth of Gadhimai municipality in Siraha has been arrested here Thursday evening on the charge of murdering his father. A resident of ward no. 10 in the municipality, Sanjaya Sada hit his father Laxmi Sada,40, in a fit of rage with a beer bottle on his head. As a result, Laxmi died on the spot, police said. Laxmi was attacked by his son for reportedly shouting at his daughter-in-law for taking away the money that he had saved. Sanjaya has been taken into custody for necessary action, DSP at the Area Police Office in Lahan Raj Kumar Karki said. Meanwhile, Pawan Kumar Tamang of Mirchaiya municipality-9 was attacked with a sharp weapon today. Ashaman Tamang and his 18-year-old son Naresh have been charged with attacking and injuring Pawan with a Khukuri, police said. Pawan is undergoing treatment at the Mangalam hospital. Among the alleged attackers Naresh has been arrested while Ashaman is at large, DSP at the Area Police Office in Mirchaiya Shyam Singh Chaudhary said. RSS
