Gulmi/October 11 A couple of Paralmi7 has filed a case against Kishan Biswakarma, 47, and his wife Shashikala Bishwakarma, 42, of same place at the district police office on October 11.

Bhoj Bahadur Biswakarma, 45, and his wife Laxmi Biswakarma accused Kishan and his wife of beating them on charge of being witch. Bhoj Bahadur and Kishan are brothers.

Laxmi said that they were kicked and beaten with cane at night by about seven villagers whom the accused had brought in.

Dr. Govinda Adhikari of Tamghas Hospital said that Laxmi sustained minor injuries while Bhoj Bahadur had been referred to Lumbini Medical College in Palpa for severe head injuries that he had sustained.

DSP Raj Kumar Baidbar said that a police team had been dispatched to the site. He added that police would investigate the incident seriously.
