A clash erupted in an election of the School Management Committee (SMC) at Kirtichaur Higher Secondary School in Mankot of Bajura district on Monday. As many as 10 persons were injured when the clash erupted between two sides over electing four members to the SMC. Altogether, nine people filed their candidacy for the posts. Locals claimed that the atmosphere in the school was tense after someone hurled stones and kicked away the ballot box. Among the injured, the condition of Lal Bahadur Thapa is serious and is referred to Attariya of Kailali after primary treatment at the District Hospital. However, police claimed that only one person was injured in the incident. The DPO sent a team to the incident site for further investigation.
