Police on Monday said they arrested five persons in connection to a physical assault from the Kathmandu Valley. Police had arrested Biplav Silwal from Bistachhap of Bandegaun, Lalitpur for allegedly hitting a pedestrian, Kedar Khadka (58), with a motorcycle (Ba 51 Pa 2710) and fleeing away from the incident site on Sunday. Khadka, who was severely injured in the hit and run case, is being treated at the B & B Hospital, police added. Meanwhile, some kin of Khadka reached Silwal’s house and, in his absence, beat his 48-year-old father Bal Krishna. After the dispute, police arrested at least four people who assaulted Bal Krishna. Police added that an investigation into the case is underway.
