The Indian Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) has arrested 24 people including 13 children at Nepal-India border in Rautahat this morning while the latter were on the way to India for employment.
An organization namely, Child Line, based in Sitamadhi of Indian state Bihar got the SSB arrested 24 Nepali people hailing from Mahottari, Siraha and Sindhuli while moving to India for employment purpose.
The organization took the initiative noting that 11 adults among the arrested were taking other 13 children in the group to India for child labor.
Two among the arrested have the citizenship certificates of both Nepal and India, said an official of SSB, adding they were nabbed for taking the children to India for indecent purpose.
All the arrested will be made available at the Child Court in Sitamadhi today at the request of the organization and the children will be handed over to their guardians at the same place, according to SSB sources.
