A contractor and two other employees of the Lower Modikhola Hydropower project being constructed at Chuwa of Kushma-12 have been severely injured after being attacked on Saturday night. The injured have been identified as, contractor Nil Kumar Rai, project manager Gopal Regmi and site in charge Trailokya Chalise. Public Relations Officer of the project, Surendra Belbase informed that the injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Pokhara. The three were injured after being attacked by Dhruva Kumar Poudel Chhetri of Paradi Kushma-12 and Rabindra Kumar Chhetri of Gijyan Tilahar-1. The two reportedly entered the site of the incident on Saturday night and indiscriminately attacked the contractor and two others. The incident only came into light after the victims lodged a complaint at the District Administration Office and District Police Office, demanding action against the attackers. Following the complaint, the two attackers were arrested by the police. Police are further investigating the incident.
